Power & Steam Boilers

Boilers can be used to provide power or steam for the manufacturing process.  With the proper measurements, optimized combustion control can reduce fuel consumption and lessen emissions.

Efficient boiler operation depends upon optimizing the combustion reaction between oxygen (from air) and the fuel used. An ideal ratio between the two ensures safe and efficient operation with minimal emissions.

High temperatures are required throughout the manufacturing process, and these are delivered by combustion-driven boilers. Analysis of the flue gases is needed, but this may prove challenging in the high-particulate environment often found in a glass manufacturing plant.

We provide proven solutions for monitoring gases in power and steam boilers. We leverage trusted measurement technology in a range specialized designs to provide the best match to the application conditions.

    Combustion control

The key to combustion efficiency is to find the optimum ratio between air and fuel in the combustion reaction. This requires, at the minimum, accurate monitoring of oxygen, and also benefits from additional measurements: combustibles (for process optimization) and methane/hydrocarbon (for safety).
