Process Instruments

AMETEK offers on-line process analyzers for the accurate determination of the trace moisture content of gases. Analysis ranges and accuracy vary by model from as high as 2500 parts per million by volume down to <1 part per billion by volume. In addition, AMETEK provides a line of products based on tunable diode laser technology.

Tunable Diode Laser Instrumentation

The 5100 Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) gas analyzers use an extractive system. Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy is a highly selective, sensitive and versatile technique for measuring trace species in gas analysis. The diode laser source emits in the NIR region and is ideal for optical spectroscopy because of its narrow line width, tunability, stability, compactness and ability to operate at room temperature.

Currently, there are two models available. The 5100 is a single laser, single gas analyte system and is ideal for sample dewpoint temperatures up to 55ºC. The 5100HD is a dual laser, multiple gas analyte system and is ideal for sample dew point temperatures up to 100ºC. A high temperature version up to 150ºC is also available. Both the 5100 and 5100HD can measure moisture, methane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and oxygen.

The 5100 and 5100HD have a built in reference cell for on-line verification and all three models have laser line lock function, a feature that is unique to AMETEK 5100 series analyzers. The 5100HD can be configured for dual cells, dual stream applications.

5100 series analyzers are comprised of fully enclosed optics, electronics, sample handling and built-in verification. The 5100 and 5100HD units are designed for outdoor installation and are certified for worldwide hazardous area locations. Online Sulfur Analyzer

The 682T-HP is designed for the on-line analysis of sulfur in highly viscous hydrocarbons such as crude and residual oil using XRT (X-ray Transmission) technology. This system is ideal for high temperature and pressure sample streams. With its rugged, time-proven proportional counter detector and X-ray tube source, the 682T-HP gives superb analytical precision with a sulfur limit of detection of 200 ppm. The 682T-HP key features include a fully integrated densitometer, automatic density compensation, touch-screen controls, password protection and rapid update rates.
